Humphrey Procter Gregg 1895-1980 - C.B.E.

For nearly thirty years "P-G", as he was universally known, was Head of the University of Manchester’s Music Department, latterly as the University's first "Emeritus" Professor of Music.

Several of Humphrey Procter-Gregg's compositions have recently been recorded on the Dutton Epoch label.

Most recent recordings have been of the Violin Sonatas Nos. 1, 2 & 4 by Andrew Long (violin) and Ian Buckle (piano) on the Toccata Classics label.
